If you think it, you can achieve it!
Training Philosophy: I believe that everyone has the potential to reach their goals; they may just not have the tools. As a trainer I don’t believe that you need a trainer for life, what you need are the basic fundamentals to help get you started. My goal as a personal trainer is to help you achieve your ultimate fitness goals and live a healthy lifestyle. I encourage, motivate and empower my clients to achieve their personal health and fitness goals and provide knowledge, motivation, and dedication to achieve their ultimate result. Once you have the knowledge you can take your fitness as far as you want to go.
Health & Fitness Experience: I am a certified trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association. My overall experience and training in the gym goes back to 1998 when I first made fitness a significant part of my life. During that time I have gotten to learn from and work with some great individuals. My experiences include; becoming a mother – working out during pregnancy and understanding intimately what it takes to get back into shape after kids. I have run 5ks, 10ks, half and a full marathons and am a figure competitor. All of these experiences have given me an intimate understanding of how to properly fuel and train to achieve success. Anybody can read a book or buy a certification, but having an intimate understanding of what needs to happen in your body and training to run and complete a marathon, how dieting for a competition whether its body building or figure affects your metabolism, how that extra pause – squeeze at the end of a repetition can make all the difference in your workout is knowledge you only learn from experience.
Strengths: Fitness and nutrition! I’ve trained wide variety of clientele; women and men ages 15 – 67. I have helped both men and women achieve their fitness goals, but being a woman and being a mother myself children gives me a more intimate understanding of the female body, because well – I am one! How pregnancy changes the female body and what it takes to train the post pregnancy body are also things I understand and have experienced! I specialize in Nutrition for diabetics, endurance athletes, body building and figure. Eating right seems to be the hardest part for everyone I train, but it is also the most rewarding once people learn what, when, and how much of what foods to eat.
What to Expect: Custom tailored nutrition programs along with a structured personal training program teaching you basic fundamentals while providing encouragement and motivation is what you can expect from working with me. Personal training is my passion and Personal Training is supposed to be just that! Personal! Expect to be pushed as well as encouraged, my passion is fitness and helping people – I genuinely care about getting you results – Your success, means my success as a coach and trainer. I will challenge you, and help you learn to challenge yourself – and together we can achieve your fitness goals.

Santa Cruz to Capitola Wharf to Wharf Race

July 26th 2009 I ran in the 37th annual Wharf to Wharf race from Santa Cruz to Capitola. What a blast! The weather was perfect, a nice cool 60 degrees and what a great group of people! The race is only six miles and is full of eye candy. It starts in down town Santa Cruz by the wharf and continues on to cliff drive which follows the coast line and twists and turns through some great residential areas along the way. We also got spoiled with a different live band to rock us on our way at every mile, and lots of people on the side lines to cheer us on! I will definitely be doing this run again next year, and be lining up at a faster starting time! There were 15,000 people in this race and the first 8 minutes you couldn’t even run it was so crowded! My race pace for my marathon 3 years ago was a 10 minute mile, but I have actually increased my race pace finally to an 8-9 min mile! Unfortunately because we couldn’t run the first 8 minutes or so of this race my first mile took 15 minutes! But I made up time and finished in 1 hour and 1 minute! Not Bad! If you are considering training for a marathon or even half marathon, this is a great race to think about doing along the course of your training. If you are thinking about signing up for the 2010 race go to www.wharftowharf.com

Come Join Me at Community – Wide Ladies Night Out!
~ Friday May 8th ~ 7-9p.m.
Reserve your chair for this months BUNCO event at Vino CON BRIO!
Amorosa Vineyards 7889 E. Harney Lane
Ladies Night Out provides a fun and relaxed “common ground” for women to get to know other women they don’t neccesarily associate with on a day to day basis. Its a great way to meet new friends or share laughs with old ones.
They meet every 2nd Friday of the month at different coffee shops and restaurants throughout the Lodi area. This months focus topic is Stress Relief, I think we could all use some of that!
Women are multi taskers and tend to be the organizers and care givers for many, between juggling work, family, household responsibilities and playdates it’s no wonder that by the end of the day we feel a bit FRAZZLED!
At Ladies Night Out I will be speaking about How to REDUCE your stress levels through excercise and good nutrition and teach you a stress relief workout you can do anywhere.
I look forward to seeing all of you there!

Vacation To Cancun
Going on vacation doesn’t have to be the end of the great body you tirelessly shape in the gym day in and day out. I recently went to Cancun, MX. While there I made it a point to walk everywhere that I could including on the beach every day. You would be suprised and how many more calories walking in sand burns! I even managed to get in a couple of early morning runs! Planning activities do throughout the day like diving and snorkeling is a great way to keep you active and away from the resort buffets. Another tip is find out where the local grocery store is this will allow you to buy and prepare your own food while there which is a much more economical way to enjoy your vacation, allowing you more control over your waistline and your pocket book. (Cancun actually has a Wal Mart!) Having a couple cocktails in the evening? Help burn it off by doing karoke! Its much more fun that way and the worse you are the funnier it is! So where ever your get away is, at the beach or at the snow stay active, get outside and go play. You’ll be happy and healthier because you did! Here is a pic of me and my friend Taleb at the beach. Happy Birthday Friend!
